William August is originally from Rye, New York in Westchester County.  After graduating high school, he attended Syracuse University in Syracuse New York.  He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 1991.  He continued on with his graduate studies at the State University of New York, School of Dental Medicine, in Buffalo New York.  He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1995.  Upon finishing his studies there, he entered a one year General Practice Residency at the Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo New York.  Shortly after completing his residency training, Dr. August and his wife moved down to the Rockville Maryland area.  He joined a dental practice in Frederick Maryland as an associate and worked there until joining Family Dental Associates in Montgomery Village Maryland in 2002. 

Dr. August is a current member of the American Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association and the Southern Maryland Dental Society. Dr. August stays current with the latest treatments, technology and materials by participating with Continuing Education courses annually.    

Dr. August currently lives in Germantown with his wife and three children.  He enjoys staying active outside of the office by running, playing racquetball, and is a classic car enthusiast.
